Earlier this week, you met the character who lives on one side of the duplex in my story. Today, you meet the other.

Robert Bradshaw simply wants a quiet space to do his job–meeting with his clients for counseling sessions online. He thought he’d found just that when he moved into the little duplex a few months ago. But now, today, November 1st, all is no longer quiet. Instead, Christmas music is pounding through the walls from next door. Why?

It’s not that he doesn’t celebrate Christmas. He simply waits to celebrate it on the actual day instead of fifty-four days beforehand.

He’s not a Scrooge or a Grinch. But his neighbor’s holiday spirit needs to stay on her side.

Robert’s family doesn’t fully understand why he chose to live in such a place. After all, his parents both worked hard to make sure their children had a better start than they did. Why not buy a house that doesn’t share walls with someone else?

But he’s happy with his new location. It has everything he wants or needs.

But it may have more than that too. Because the more he gets to know his crazy neighbor, the more he wants to know what makes her tick. Where does her joy come from? And how does her Christmas spirit start creeping over into his yard?

Only a few more days to find out how these neighbors get along. 😉
